If you do it right, you get to quit your day job and make friends in places you've never been, a life moving so fast that's so full you won't even have time to process it.
That's about where I am right now.
I've been in England... six days? It feels like it's been three weeks. I'm under the impression our brains are elastic: use them more and they will be better at being used. My head hurts right now just trying to process all the places I've been and things I've seen and people I've met. "Increased throughput" would be an understatement compared to the happenings of my life a year ago. I have about two hours of recordings to go through. I also have to figure out how to get to Ireland and then back across to France within the next 2-3 weeks.
I could sit and type for a whole day and not get it all out; but, my priorities are adventure first. Blogging will always come second. I'll leave you with a photo for now, and try and gather my thoughts into cohesive sentences instead of just compressed memories and the best kind of heartache sometime in the next week or so.
Also there are more photos on the map.
It was great to see this update! We've been thinking about you and loved your last blog posts. I'm so excited to hear more when you have time to post. But until then, I'm so glad you are setting aside the pressure to write and enjoying being on the road! Onward!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing experience! I've been looking forward to hearing about your experiences, but you're right, just take it all in, that can wait. I'm glad you're keeping recorded notes so you can re-live the experience and not forget anything. I received a delightful email from Shaun and Daniela letting me know that you are doing well! Ride on!
